Post by: lau on November 01, 2005, 06:03:48 pm

Has anyone tried the new Ben and Jerrys Chocolate Brownie frozen yogurt? They sell it in Sains and Tescos. It's amazing!!!! its much lower in fat but taste just as good if not better than the normal one!

Haven't tried the cherry garcia yet, but I do think the CFB is very good. Very chocolatey taste, not sure I'd say it's better than the full fat variety but still pretty darn good though.

Has anyone compared calorie counts on the tubs?

Found some calorie counts (on an American site):

The Chocolate Fudge Brownie Frozen Yogurt has 150 calories per half cup whereas the Chocolate Fudge Brownie Ice Cream has 280 calories per half cup.

Here's the link for more info:

I don't like Phish food either. Sir is happy about that as it means I
will leave it alone and it will sit in the freezer until he is ready
for it

Where as cookie dough, caramel choo choo and half baked are a different matter!

Has anyone been on the Ben And Jerry website?

Mystic Moo is hilarious.

Also interesting trip down memory lane in the flavour graveyard, although saw some flavours that I'd had missed and also some of the American flavours thta we've never had..... now got a bad case of flavour envy

I dunno, I'm really not that fond of Ben & jerry's ice cream. I dunno if it tastes any different in the UK, but here in Canada, the ice cream itself is nothing extraordinary, it's expensive, and oozing with extra calories. I myself love Nestle's Mr. Big ice cream, and Breyer's natural Vanilla. The brand President's Choice makes lovely ice creams too. Their Canadian Maple and S'mores flavours are to die for! I'm not sure whether they still do it, but for Christmas, they used to release a peppermint ice cream with candy cane bits and dark chocolate chunks; very tasty, but candy cane has a tendency to stick to one's teeth, which I don't like.
