Where do I start! It was the most fantastic trip.
We stayed in the Comfort Inn Manhattan if you want to look it up. It
was on 35th Street. Out of our window we could see the Empire State
Building and at the end of the road was Macy's!
We went on bus tours of up town manhattan which took us as far as
Harlem and a down town tour which took us as far as Battery Park. And a
night tour which took us across Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridge's.
I went to the site of the Twin Towers and it was very moving, the
atmosphere surrounding the whole area was very somber. It was very
moving. We also visited the cathedral where the rescue workers took
shelter and slept.
I of course done a whole load of shopping. Bloomingdales, Saks
and Macy's were top of my list. We walked down Madison, Park,
Lexington and 5th Avenues, all the roads in bewteen and Broadway.
My lovely man brought me a Tiffany bracelet. I brought myself pink
Timberlands, Beige Timberlands, 2 cute zip up tops, loads of
chocolate!, Macy's bear and loads of other things!!
I got raspberry and orange lindt bars and mint lindor balls.
-
Sorry, I put this in the wrong area. Could this be moved to general by any chance Choc Admin?
-
Sounds great Choccy Chick. Glad you enjoyed your first trip abroad. What did you think of flying?
-
Sounds fantastic CC
-
Flying was fine. I was nervous, but it was an excited nervous. Once you
are in the air its pretty smooth and you have now idea you were at
38,000 feet
-
PLEASE NOTE
no one has a fear of flying!!!!
what there are feared of is FALLING ! (in a plane from 38000ft )
-
No, I wasn't afraid, I was excited! Not too impressed with the plane
food though. I should have had the beef not the chicken! Got a very
nice turkey and cheese roll though
-
Im from New York
-
What about the chocolate CC?
-
Pleased to hear you had a wonderful time choc chick and I bet you can't wait to get on a plane again.
-
I got 4 bags of Hershey Nuggets: toffee and almond, almond and raisin, mint and cookie and cream.
5 rittersport bars: coconut, corn crisp, butter biscuit, milk chocolate and hazelnut and chocolate
A king size almond joy bar (had 4 bits)
A king size kit kat (it has 8 fingers) white kit kat, milk chocolate kit kat and coffee kit kat
Mint lindor balls, orange lindt bar and raspberry lindt bar
King size snickers and mini snickers
-
8 finger kitkats must be huge.
-
The lenght of the fingers area little shorted than what we have
over here but in the king size there are twice as many! Thats king size
for you
-
Thats Americans for you.
-
We would add another inch onto the bar and they double it

-
That's why they're all king size too!
-
I can't manage a king size snickers even though I am now in king size knickers.
-

That's not really true. My friend just said we should eat chinese food every day because she has never seen a fat chinese person. that's true.

U R so xenopholic. Chinese peple do not eat take aways! They make their own nice food with spices and less fattening stuff coz they know the other stuff is sh*t.
-
calm down. calm down. xenopholic? come back when you can spell it dopey.

What, so you know absolutely every Chinese person in the world do you? Almost a third of the world's population is Chinese! Announcing 'chinese people do not eat takeaways' is just as sweeping a generalisation as saying you never see fat Chinese people!
Eight posts and virtually all of them argumentative...
-
Yes, and somehow those eight posts have a familiar ring to them.....

Do you mean a familiar ring as in a Frooty ring?

No that wasn't who I was thinking of!
-
My mams acupuncturist says he loves a nice chinese takeaway.
-
Is he chinese?
If he is he wont really eat that stuff. he will like proper chinese food with herbs and steamed rice.
-
yes he is
-
Are you Chinese nuts?
-
If Chinese people don't like Chinese take-away, why do they cook it and sell it to other people? Why don't they cook us the real thing?
-
I still say it's true that you don't see many fat chinese people.
-
That's because they never leave the restaurant.
-
I dont think the sweet and sour chicken balls are strictly chinese. Yummy though
