Title: New York
Post by: chocolate chick on October 06, 2005, 03:39:23 pm
Where do I start! It was the most fantastic trip.

We stayed in the Comfort Inn Manhattan if you want to look it up. It
was on 35th Street. Out of our window we could see the Empire State
Building and at the end of the road was Macy's!

We went on bus tours of up town manhattan which took us as far as
Harlem and a down town tour which took us as far as Battery Park. And a
night tour which took us across Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridge's.

I went to the site of the Twin Towers and it was very moving, the
atmosphere surrounding the whole area was very somber. It was very
moving. We also visited the cathedral where the rescue workers took
shelter and slept.

I of course done a whole load of shopping. Bloomingdales, Saks
and  Macy's were top of my list. We walked down Madison, Park,
Lexington and 5th Avenues, all the roads in bewteen and Broadway.

My lovely man brought me a Tiffany bracelet. I brought myself pink
Timberlands, Beige Timberlands, 2 cute zip up tops, loads of
chocolate!, Macy's bear and loads of other things!!

I got raspberry and orange lindt bars and mint lindor balls.

Flying was fine. I was nervous, but it was an excited nervous. Once you
are in the air its pretty smooth and you have now idea you were at
38,000 feet

No, I wasn't afraid, I was excited! Not too impressed with the plane

nice turkey and cheese roll though

U R so xenopholic. Chinese peple do not eat take aways! They make their own  nice food with spices and less fattening stuff coz they know the other stuff is sh*t.

What, so you know absolutely every Chinese person in the world do you? Almost a third of the world's population is Chinese! Announcing 'chinese people do not eat takeaways' is just as sweeping a generalisation as saying you never see fat Chinese people!

Eight posts and virtually all of them argumentative...

If Chinese people don't like Chinese take-away, why do they cook it and  sell it to other people? Why don't they cook us the real thing?

Post by: loulou on October 11, 2005, 10:01:38 pm

I still say it's true that you don't see many fat chinese people.
