Can I just say that this man will be sorely missed by many, many people. He was a very funny and genuine man who will remind many people my age of childhood watching the Two Ronnies or Porridge.

His ability to use and twist the English language in his sketches is probably unparalleled in comedy and I will always think of him as the finest comedy character actor of his and many generations.

Unusually for a person I never met I feel a genuine loss.

  Even my kids are almost word perfect at the 'Four Candles' sketch.  A great loss.

I met him in his antiques shop when he was little and he was a very nice man.

I was very sad to hear he had passed away and he wasn't that old.

No, he got to look old recently though.  He was probably the best comic actor we have seen for many years.  I concur with the other comments, and I also grew up with the two Ronnies. 

A great man.

I was never that keen on  Ronnie Corbett and that programme Sorry irritated me but I loved Ronnie Barker, especially in Porridge.

it was good (weekday on uktv drama next to Hi die hi)

he was given a medal back in 1980 didn't he?

I thought Sorry was very funny. The Daily Telegraph printed some of Ronnie Barker's gags and they were very funny.
