Title: Mushy peas
Post by: on September 27, 2005, 07:40:44 pm
I am currently posted on a secret mission at Lockwoods in Ambergate, Derbyshire.  They make frozen mushy peas.  They also store other peoples' stock and while I was there today I noticed tins of Lockwoods mushy peas.  I asked about them and apparently they are a completely different Lockwoods based in Spalding and have nothing in common whatever with the Ambergate Lockwoods.  What's the chances that two unconnected companies would spring up both called Lockwoods and make Mushy peas?  Two add to the confusion Batchelors also make Mushy peas.

Original Lockwoods mushy peas are the best. I can't
find frozen mushy peas in my local supermarkets in
London. Meat & potato pie and mushy peas is one of
my favourite meals.

I am sorry, but mushy peas are just about the worst thing you could ever put in your mouth. The thought of them gives methe horrors.

Years ago I had normal Lockwood processed peas and even after boiling the buggers for 45 minutes they were still rock hard . I agree with oldspice mushy peas not good.
