Title: CHOC-O-VATION AWARDS
Post by: smurfboy on September 27, 2005, 06:21:58 pm

Strictly speaking we should leave this until December, but what the hell, celebs have an awards ceremony every week, why can't we?

Pure and simple -  what do you think is the best new chocolate product of the year. My nominations are below; not in any preference order, some I don't even like - it's purely an opinion poll. If anyone thinks of any I've forgotten please add. Maybe Chocadmin could make it into a proper poll?

Nominations:

Cadbury Dairy Milk with Honey and Almonds

Florida Orange Rolos

Lemon Sorbet After Eights

Irish Cream After Eights

After Eight Straws

Galaxy Promises Range

Pizazz

Kit Kat Editions – Red Berry

Kit Kat Editions – Mango and Passion Fruit

Little Notions

Bendick’s Gorgeous

Terry’s Chocolate Mint

What about the new Aeros and Xploding Smarties bar. Out of your list I would pick the Irish Cream After Eights.

None were innovative so I can't give any an ovation.

Quite frankly, Cadbury need to be taken outside and shot.

Me too - it's between that and Orange Rolos for my fave. Innovation wise, I think KitKat Editions has to win; in an age where fruity chocolate is treated like the poor relation to nuts and caramel products, they make a welcome change.

I would say Caramac Kit Kat if it was there

From the list, Bendicks Gorgeous

Yes Kitkat Editions are quite nice. I'm not sure which I like best - I
loved the seville orange and also like the passionfruit ones.

This year. I have never been fussed on them myself but they seem very popular especially with the ladies.

I think Sticky Toffee should win the award! I'm sure that such a
product has never existed before - toffee flavour bubbles.
