I see your birthday is approaching oldspice. What have you got planned?

I see it is on sunday. That's nice because you won't be working.

Oh yes I will! i will be marking students' work and planning forthcoming lessons! I will probably be doing housework as well!

I haven't planned anything special. Do you think I should? What should i do?

Buy a fire extinguisher for all those cake candles.

oldspice you definitely need to celebrate and do something special. I want you to take yourself out on Saturday to the shops and treat yourself to something nice. Buy yourself a nice box of chocs and on Sunday I want you to go out with your family for lunch then on the afternoon put your feet up , listen to some music and relax.

Aw thanks lou. I might go out with hubbie. Both kids work on Sundays so can't do lunch with the whole family. I am really under pressure at work just now so I need a break but find it difficult to fit everything in.

I have other reasons not to want to celebrate this birthday. I will be the same age my mum was when she died. It keeps playing on my mind. Not that I think I will die, but that I have a life to live that is basically sh*t at the moment - I owe it to her to do what she couldn't do and that is enjoy the time I have left constructively.

Well if you don't want to celebrate, you should at least try and have a break from the norm.  Housework is definitely out!

You could buy yourself a nice box of chocolates like lou said and eat
them watching your favourite film on sunday night. How does that sound?
Definately no housework though!

That sounds fantastic. I might treat myself to some Rose and Violet Creams and watch  Goodbye Mr Chips on Sunday afternoon when hubbie is busy with his competitions.

A bit of oldspice times seems like a good idea. Are they going to be Bendicks Creams?
