Title: Anything for the weekend....?
Post by: oldspice on September 17, 2005, 10:59:16 am

What little chocolate treats are members going to indulge in this weekend?

I am going for a pack of Luxury Mint Creams from Thorntons. These are HUGE with a crspy mint coating and a substantial mint filling made with fresh cream. They are not too sweet but just fabulous.

These will be eaten tonight with a glass of wine and some savoury nibbles and tomorrow night when Corrie is on.

Were they nice or disappointing?

Nothing special. I just needed a good intake of chocolate and the corner shop didn't have  a lot of choice. They did the trick though.

The reason is for company and because it's warm and they think they will save on their gas bills.

Lou, I used to like Dairy Box the best but after Nestle took over Rowntrees they changed all the fillings and now I don't bother with them. It's the same with Black Magic. They messed with the fillings and now they're boring.

You are funny Loulou. I prefer Dairy Milk. This
weekend I've eaten 6 Ritter Sports (for research
purposes, of course - sh** job but someone's got to
do it!): 2 White Chocolate & Hazelnut , 3 Chocolate
Creme and 1 Milk Chocolate & Hazelnut, a bag of
Thornton's Special Toffee, a box of Maltesers, a big
bag of Revels and a mixture of fruity sweets. I've had
a lazy day today and stuffed myself whilst reading the
Sunday papers.

Yes Peter Andre in a white suit with trousers way too long. Bridesmaids well outshone her and she had plenty. They were in white while she wore pink and a huge tiara.

Well
I’ve just bought a box of “Bendicks Gorgeous”, what I have tried so far
was very nice, I like the honey and almond in milk chocolate, it’s a
shame it wasn’t in dark chocolate though………………

I think Gorgeous are yummy. The only one I was not too keen on was the dark chocolte one. The coffee one was especially nice!

But she didn't pay for it!

Peter Andre said he had some hair extensions for his wedding because that it looked right with his suit, and so that when he looks back at his wedding photos in years to come he won't think he looked stupid.

Yeah, that's right - a waistcoat made entirely of Swavorski crystals, a ring big enough to see from space, a pink cravat... of course it was his hair that would make him look stupid.

Those rings were huge and hideous.

I do agree that the rings are HUGE! They can't be to wear everyday surely?

Well Jordan won't be able to wash up with it on.

But wouldn't that demand more talent than he can manage??

I bought the mag but haven't had time to read it until
today. It was even more entertaining reading then I
thought it would be. I'm going to have another look a
bit later to make sure I didn't miss anything,

Jordan's dress was so wide Peter had to stand at arm's length!

I saw that picture as well. If you looked at the bottom of the picture
they looked as if they were standing close together but if you looked
at the top they were about 4 ft apart.

The second part of OK comes out today, might have to nip out in my tea break.

I didn't know there was a follow up issue - I'll have a
look for that tomorrow. I feel bad bitching about them
though.

The bottom part of her dress came off to reveal a kind of mini skirt (almost like a tutu) for the wedding party. How very versatile!

Then the part she removed turned into a sort of cape - which could also be casually knotted and worn as a bandana.....she must have got the outfit from Weekenders, if they still exist?
