Title: Cabana
Post by: smurfboy on September 14, 2005, 11:23:50 pm
Don't remember this myself, but I know various people on this site were very keen on it. My question is this: I was reading on a site called Nostalgia Central about old chocs, and this was mentioned. The web master wasn't very complimentary, but the thing I was surprised at was he said 'it lasted for about a year in the eighties'. Was this bar really only around for a year? It's pretty amazing that it still has so many fans if that's true!

I really wish I could have tasted this. It sounds really nice.

No, it was around for much longer than a year.  More like ten years. Also, some of the other information on Nostalgia central is wrong.

I thought it was the late 70's when Cabanas came out as I recall getting one every sunday morning when we came back from walking the dog on the beach. I can't remember when they disappeared but I seem to think they were around a lot longer than one year.

Definitely much longer than a year. They were gorgeous. Blue wrapper.
