Title: Dime/Daime
Post by: oldspice on September 06, 2005, 10:29:23 pm

I had one of these today and it was delicious but it made me think of a bar we used to have in the 1970s. It was called Buttersnap and I think it was made by Sharpes. It was longer and narrower in shape that Dime/Daime but really buttery and tasty.

Do any of the old-timers remember? Goldencup? Maggie?

Those little Goldencup finger bars with the flat bottom and foil that stuck to the chocolate were divine!

Do you remember when bars like Flake came in a larger 6d size and a small, thinner 3d size? In those days, Frys Turkish Delight's regular bar size was two portions like Bountys and Milky Ways and there were single sized bars that later became the regular size bars if you get my meaning.

What I am really saying is, if you're old enough to remember, we've been robbed!
