All these new bars that are appearing, I have noticed many of them dont
make it into all the shops shelves. Woolworths seems to sell most of
the new variations, although strangely I cant find Caramel Aero or
Milkybar Choco Mousse in my local Woolworths. How are these 'new' bars
meant to all compete when generally most stores seem to go with the
'main' chocolate bars, Ie - all of the Dairy Milk range, and Mars,
Bounty, Maltesers and co, and at Nestles end, the regular Kit Kat,
Rolos, Aero, Milkybar etc.
If I didnt read this forum I wouldnt have a clue where to find all
these new chocolate bars and many of them I wouldnt even know existed.
I suppose at the end of the day shops stock the ones that are going to
be bought often, rather than ones people may just "try" as its new and
unusual.

That's what we are all here for. The big chocolate family!

When was the last time you saw a Frys Peppermint Cream in Sainsbury or Tesco?
You are right kevvosa. Supermarkets are only interested in high volume sales and more and more today they are only interested in multi-pack sales. My local Sainsbury has a dismal choice, not only of chocolate but across the spectrum.
I mourn the little old sweet shops that stocked a huge range of chocolate bars, boxed selections, penny sweets and sticky things in jars.
There I was, silver sixpenny bit in my warm little palm, trying to make the pennies stretch as far as possible but stumped by the amount of choice in front of me. A mixture of chocolate and chewy/boiled sweets was the best option. A small Golden Cup, a few Black Jacks and tuppence worth of Aniseed Twist or Sherbet Lemons - and that was me happy for the week!!!
-
Ah, happy days! Funnily enough I saw Fry's Peppermint Cream in my local Sainsbury's yesterday, but only in multipacks. Do you remember Frother Bars? They used to make my meagre pocket money go a long way!
-
I got the Milky Bar choco mousse from Asda and the Aero Caramel from my local sweetshop.
-
Little local newsagents often seem to have new choc bars - they tend to have a box at the counter because they know it is the place for impulse buying! Discovered Mard Delight, Double Decker Nuts and others this way!
-
Just found the Milky Bar choco mousse and have yet to try it. Has anyone tried one of these yet?
-
Yeah I have had one. They are quite nice really. I wouldn't say no to another bar.
-
Yes they're okay, nothing special. Not as good as a Lindt Cereali Croccanti!
-
What do you think of Aero Caramel? I was a bit disappointed - I was hoping it would be more like Wispa Gold, but there is not enough chocolate.

You can't buy love with a bunch of flowers!
Mind you, Peter Kay did say "You can't beat a bit of blue"
-
Flowers do it for me but blue gnome things don't.
-
Yeah flowers are such a lovely gesture.
-
SO IS CHOCOLATE!
-
Flowers AND chocolate, and you are on to a winner!
