Hello choco loons,
I am racking my brain trying to think of the name of a chocolate 'bar' from my childhood.
All I can remeber is that it was a twin bar (like a drifter or a twix) and I think it was in a brown wrapper with white writing (there may have been red on the writing too).
The chocolate itself, had fine crushed nuts over a wafer and caramel bar, then covered in chocolate, and I think there were no ripples on the outer layer of chocolate.
For some reason I think it started with 'B', but dont let this throw you off the scent.
Help me please!!!!!!
Oh my god - Thats the one! Anyone know where I can find a pic or better still an actual bar - do they still make them anywhere in the world?
I can't upload on this bit but I'll see if a copy & paste works.
what on earth are there!
plus it look forgien! like it from French/ dutch
can you still get them!
I found this about them - a question from another forum
"Does anybody remember the chocolate bar 'Banjo'
it had two fingers in a pack (like a Twix) but it was wafer on the bottom with nuts on top and then covered in chocolate? The wrapper was purple with the word Banjo in yellow Yum yum!!!"
Strangely the other stuff I found was directly above the info about those milk & honey biscuits that Loulou was talking about!
I have just returned from a trip to Germany, and one of the service stations we stopped at was selling the Banjos there.
The wrapper on the banjo was exactly as the pic above! Unfortunately we didn't stop there on the way back otherwise I'd have bought all they had!
i thought it was a blue or purple colour with yellow writing as well, i had a school friend who was absolutely addicted to them had them for breakfast dinner and tea lol
