Title: Pizza toppings
Post by: oldspice on August 19, 2005, 10:40:00 am

For me it has to be thin and crispy pixxa, topped with ham, mushroom and green peppers.

Definitely no anchovies or olives thanks.

For me it has to be thin and crispy stuffed crust with extra cheese, ham and pineapple. Yum

I don't mind which base as long as it's not the really thin one like a crisp!

For toppings I love lots and lots of different vegetables and mushrooms. I don't eat fish or any seafood so anchovies are definitely out for me. I'm not a fan of olives either, oldspice.

I had pizza in Italy last year.  The toppings were good but the base was just scrumptiomundo.

I have heard of anchovies, but what are they?

Hairy fish

My personal fave is sweetcorn and onion. I also love goats cheese or asparagus (pereferably both!) on pizzas, or the rocket-topped one at Pizza Express.

I'll have yours please Loulou!  I do like the occasional olive too though. I quite like ham on pizza but for some reason I find chicken all wrong even though I love chicken usually.

I don't like ham or chicken on pizzas. I'm not much of  a meat eater but do like pepperami .

I agree. Chicken on pizza is all wrong. Chicken and cheese is all wrong in my book.

I know what you mean. Chicken and cheese is a weird combination.

Chicken is too bland to blend well with cheese.

Black Olives, Palma Ham, Onion and Mushrooms with hint of garlic.

I don't like garlic on my pizza. It drowns the delicate tastes and texture.

I don't mind a hint of garlic but not too much.

I don't like olives but love jalapeno peppers. I like my pizza hot and spicy.

It's a funny thing with olives - people say you either love them or hate them.  But I quite like them!

I love them, my girlfriend hates them, she spat them out when I gave her some.

LOULOU - take an ordinary pizza base (tesco are good, bigger the better), spread on a thick layer of choc-spread... then put half-mallows on top and cook for 15. mmmmmmmm!

I used to love Asda Apple Crumble and Chocolate and Marshmallow pizzas. They came out when the Turtles were huge.

seriously - its total heaven! so amazing you can feel youre heart-valves clogging up. getting the right choc-aspread is important... thicker and creamier the better. you can even crush down a dairy milk and throw it on top for the last 5 mins cooking if you really want it to vlow your head off.

and YES - those asda turtle-pizzas were totally amazing.

M&S do a fantastic Hickory Steak Pizza. It has spicey Hickory grilled steak with pappers and onions on but not much cheese. It's wonderful but very pricey at £3.79 each. Sometimes, on a Friday night, we have it as a reward for a hard week's work.

Mmmmm, sounds nice.  I hardly ever go to the M & S food bit as they're so expensive but I hear they have a lot of their food on special offer at the moment. I may just make a special visit.

M&S food is expensive but it is tasty and worth the treat every once in awhile. I get the Metro paper on the way to work and they sometimes runs vouchers where you can get a free drink or a salad from M&S. Last week I had some free pineapple and mango, passion fruit and pineapple drink. Both were gorgeous.
