It's raining here today and has been all night. That's good because it's been really hot for a few days and the garden needs the rain.
What is everyone doing this weekend? Tonight I am going out with a large group of friends from my husband's TGWU office. We are going greyhound racing - a thing I am not actually keen on - but the event includes a meal and a drink so I shall just socialise. My daughter has a part-time job caring for racing greyhounds when they are not racing so she will be there too.
The rest of the weekend will be spent changing beds, dusting bedrooms and preparing lectures for next term. Not a very exciting weekend. Oh, and I shall be trying to avoid eating any chocolate! Not even a new Texan bar if I see one.
Fancy my chances anyone?

I would rescue ex-racing greyhounds if I could be home during the day to care for them, I love greyhounds.
Are you a man or a mouse?
Squeak, pass me some cheese!
Actually we did meet up on Sunday night in the end. Was a very nice night
At some point over the Bank Holiday weekend as we both have time off work.

Good callIt's Firday again, the last day of my holiday and it's quite COLD! It's still supposed to be summer! We have had copious amounts of rain this week and yesterday even had hailstones and thunder.
So what am I doing on the last day of my holiday? Shopping, cleaning, ironing and .... I sat down this afternoon and watched a real of weepy movie on TV. It was called Waterloo Bridge and it starred Vivian Leigh (of Gone with the Wind fame) and Rod Taylor. I wept buckets! I also ate another of the Texan Bars I ordered from Hello Sweetie.
The big thing to end my holiday comes this weekend as hubbie is taking me to London to celebrate our Anniversary. We are seeing a play in the afternoon (Death of A Salesman), then having dinner at a posh restaurant, then seeing a show (Saturday Night Fever) then staying in a hotel near Hyde Park for the night.
Good way to end a holiday I think.
That does sound like a really good weekend, although there was no mention of the after-dinner chocolate!
How many years then Oldspice? I have my 21st anniversary in September. I don't know if that's anything special.
We didn't bother with the china either! I've just realised we've been together for almost 28 years (since I was 17) - seriously scary!
He already knows my age (although it took him a long time to work it out!)
