The Balrog kicks ass as does the War Mumak of Harak.

hehe - i had a balrog... some fkr stole it! i have a mumak, not painted yet though. me faves a nice legion of cave trolls. you seriously work for the workshop?

i make stuff/paint more than i play, these days. lotsa fun either way. (and lots people on eBay like parting with their cash.)

blloodbowl was very sweet, yes... still sell it these days, but harder to find. my absolute alltime fave is Heroquest. yay!

Yes, I seriously work for GW.  This wood elf thing has gone bananas, selling like there's no tomorrow- a bit camp for my liking.  I like the Necrons and the Tau.  They're cool.

I'm with robbie. It all seems a bit sad to me.

Sad?  The games maybe, the models no.

That's what I said. The models are ok for painting but the games are silly.
Title: Question for WPJ666

right - im in defense mode now! ok, it may seem a bit 'trekkie' in places, but its all very cool. its a seriously intense board-game which mixes all the best elements of Risk, Monopoly, Cluedo (to some extent) and chess. great stuff indeed. (and compared to sitting in front of a PS2-controlled tv-screen, i'd advise anyones kids to take up Warhammer instead!)

but love it or hate it, bounty is 100% correct about the models... they're truly awesome stuff. i've been painting since i was am kid and, hell, it just engulfs you with total self-loving when you get good at it! oh well, had to defend meself! and besides... the international calling for painterd models and self-made scenery on eBay is massive... a little goldmine waiting to cash in.

so, Bounty - what 'kind' or workshop do you work in? i mean is it one of those big, intense ones which offers painting advice and clubs etc? (an area would be good... i'm familiar with some...)

WJP, I'm in logistics at HQ.

What's a logistic?
Title: Question for WPJ666

Not sure if you can have one logistic.

Logistics is to do with the maintenance and procurement of things.  I do something in that bit.  But I don't maintain or procure anything.

We mustn't pass judgement on peoples choice of passtime. There are those who like reality shows, those who like board games, those who like computer games etc etc etc none any sadder than the last, especially if it makes you happy! I like Spurs, and whilst that may make me sad in some eyes - i dont mind - its what i like!

Well said ... most past times can be deemed to be "a bit daft" if you
look at them in enough detail & with enough objectivity ... (I
mean, what useful purpose do most sports/games serve, really? )

Yeah, WHFB is still a very good game, although WH40K has been
"kiddified" too much - I much prefered the mechanics of 2nd Ed.
Probably why I spend ~15 hrs painting file models, and no time playing
anymore ...

Yes, GW's models are quite cool.  Although they seem to be
producing models I either really like, or ones that I really hate of
late...  I have to say they've lost a lot of ground to Rackham in
the last few years IMHO (Rackham's early stuff was crap-looking) -
they're massively more detailed, and cheaper

Lemoneye, I would be delighted to be a Spurs fan at the minute.  I think they have the best squad in the league outside the top 3.

I support Liverpool, and I'd swap your squad with ours in a heartbeat.

Yes Robbie, but we won the European Champions league so Liverpool are still the coolest side around.

so BOUNTY... what 'exactly' is your position there? are you part of the fun process, or merely a paper filer? anything logistical is fairly vague... ALSO, have you ever been into playing it at all? (many, many years ago, maybe?) just curious!

i'll stand by this - warhammer is a very wholesome pastime, and i'd strongly encourage it in older kids. it mixes creativity, intelligence and art all into one bundle... (for the record, its the Dungeons and Dragions lot you wanna be a bit wary of!)

(ps - its also less destructive than following football and such...)

Bounty doesn't maintain or procure anything so maybe filing is right.

I don't have any interest in the games or play them.  I can't reveal my job exact for security reasons.

All I know about Bounty Hunter is he bragged about earning £16k a year, which is actually below the national average!

Depends where you live robbie. And an intelligent chap like yourself should realise the perils of using averages as a tool for reliabley measuring what someone earns.

I understand that it is different depending on where you live, places like Chelsea, Wimbledon and Liverpool are always going to be higher than Bury, Rhyl and Nottingham, but he bragged about it!
