Why, when taken into account the lack of proof and hard evidence, is the evolution 'sapien' theory still put forth as fact by 87% of scientists/historians? Surely a preferred choice by now should be one based upon concrete foundations, and not paper-thin allegations about evolving jaw-lines etc... which brings us to the next query - what is, indeed, the point of hiuman existance? And does the concept of reality only lie within the individuals conception of normality, or is it indeed a preset moral guideleine to exist by?

or perhaps, more imporatanly.... why didnt the hell didnt obi-wan recognise the droids in Episode 4, when he was heavily involved with them in number 3 a mere 20 years prior? i mean COME ON - he's a jedi with amnesia???? that doent ring quite true...

Bounty - I thought what you asked lou to do (sit on your face a wriggle) was rather smutty for a forum supposedly devoted to chocolate. I did not mean to hurt your feelings but some people would think that that kind of invitation was pornographic in this particular context.

I would go with the rock chick.  I have about six identities on the forum: Dr Who, Easter Bunny, Looby Loo, chocolate police and one other.
Title: Unanswerable questions
Post by: maggiemay on July 31, 2005, 11:36:18 pm

But have you ever seen a forty something rock chick?

Maybe you are not the only one with multiple identities?

Title: Unanswerable questions
Post by: on July 31, 2005, 11:39:40 pm
Yes certainly.  If you are my age or a little older, I would expect you were well in to stuff like Sabbath and Purple at the right time to be a rock chick.  If you are a head mistress, that's still sexy.
Title: Unanswerable questions
Post by: maggiemay on July 31, 2005, 11:46:06 pm

I am not a head mistress but I do work in education. Kind of. I may have been a rock chick in the past. I do like Deep Purple. The only Sabbath track I like is WarPigs. I like many kinds of music including classical and I especially like Blues music. My favourite band is the Rolling Stones.

Title: Unanswerable questions
Post by: on July 31, 2005, 11:48:03 pm
War pigs, excellent track from the paranoid album.  interesting.  I don't like the rolling stones.  I like Heavy metal, Baroque and pre-baroque, escpecially Monteverdi and Purcell.

Do you like Pink Floyd?
Title: Unanswerable questions
Post by: on July 31, 2005, 11:52:07 pm

I don't really know any, but I do like 'Another brick in the wall', which I suppose you will tell me is lightweight Floyd

Title: Unanswerable questions
Post by: maggiemay on July 31, 2005, 11:55:59 pm
No way! Another brick in the wall is from the album The Wall which is certainly not light! Another Brick In The Wall is quite a commercial track but the album is actually a concept album. It catalogues the mental decline of a former member of the group. It's brilliant. It's like avant garde heavy metal if such a thing can be described.
Title: Unanswerable questions
Post by: on July 31, 2005, 11:57:13 pm
Avant garde is but a short stop from surrealism.

The album is about the effect that WW2 and the post war years had on the musician. All of their albums are incredible - Dark Side of the Moon is a classic.

Does he still sing School's Out? It might sound a bit silly coming from a man of his age.

My colleague, (incredibley a MAN), goes to see Donny Osmond with his wife. I asked him "does he still do Puppy Love?".

"Of course he does" He replied "The audience expect and demand it"

"He must look and sound ridiculous!" I laughed "He's nearly fifty years old!"

"But Puppy Love is such a classic" Replied my colleague with complete seriousness and conviction.
