Title: Britishcandy
Post by: loulou on July 26, 2005, 02:20:41 pm

My first order went well. Ordered Sunday, delivered today. The sweet tobacco brings back memories. The old fashioned sweets hamper was good value but I mostly got excited with the sugar pigs and the chocolate cigarettes. Already ate a packet of tooty fruities and toffos.

Sounds yum lou, I might have to place an order myself! Do you think it's good value for money and what free sweets did you get?

Yes I was please with what I got for my £38. Free sweets were popping candy and a mixed bag of assorted mojos, refreshers, anglo bubbly, fruit salad and black jacks.I bought big sugar pigs for my friends and they look good.Tooty fruities, toffos, sweet tobacco and jelly beans for me, boiled sweets, catherine wheels and candy shrimps for my mam,old fashioned sweets hamper(£11.99) for my friend but I pinched the peppermint cream and nougat. Then I got chocolate cigarettes and pink pigs for spares .

Would be good if britishcandy did some sort of xmas wrapped gifts.

Doesn't sound bad.  You can buy Toffos in my local newsagents though.

These toffos are individually wrapped in clear paper which is a bit hard to get off. I remember they were wrapped in white paper.

If I remember rightly, Toffee Toffo's are wrapped in clear wrapping
whereas Fruit Flavoured Toffos have the white wrapping with writting
on?

Bother, that's another thing I'll have to research just to make sure!

I might place an order as it sounds like BC has improved since its early days.

Britishcandy if you could do some sort of Xmas decorated box and fill with sweets then I can see me doing my xmas shopping with you. I think the sweet hamper is really good but the plain box needs jazzing up(britishcandy reaches for his felt tips at this point)

I'll be placing another order next week cos my friends and family are stealing my sweets and are making requests for sweet tobacco and sugar pigs.

I think we should still double check though goldencup

I have also found Liquorice Toffo's. They were in a corner shop and I only saw them the once. Brought for Reseach Purposes

I seem to remember them in the fruity pack. Strawberry (my fave) is in there too - and blackcurrant maybe?

I used to be a bit of a Toffo addict.  There were packs of plain Toffos (which did have white wrappers but may well not have anymore) then there were the mixed ones which had strawberry, banana and chocolate flavour plus the plain ones.  Callard & Bowser(?) toffees were even better though.

Don't worry Choccy Chick, I'm still going to research this!

My order came earlier this week.  I gave my Mum the sherbert dips and I had the tooty friuties and flying sorcers.  I also gave my Mum the little fluffy teddy, which came.
