Title: Revels roulette
Post by: smurfboy on July 25, 2005, 10:53:42 am

Has anyone seen this ad? It's a spoof of the scene from the Deer Hunter. The loser collapses on the floor because he gets a coffee one.

It's a great ad, but it does raise a question - if even the manufacturers know everyone hates the coffee one, why do they still make it?  Bring back peanut!

I have seen this advert and thought the same thing. I would like the raisin one removed too as it doesn't fit in . Swap the coffee one for a big nut, the malteser for a coconut one and the raisin for nougat or marzipan.

I like the raisin.

I like the coffee one but could do without the malteser and the raisin ones. I would love a marizpan one.

I want a fudge one or a cherry one. Maybe one with biscuit in too?

Wouldn't a biscuit one be too much like a malteser.Sort of.

No it'd be like those shortcake bits in CDM with biscuit. I hope!

I know, get rid of all of them and leave only the flat one. Then re-name them Counters!

I think Revels have had their day. The current mix is so bizarre, nobody likes nearly all of the centres. They should do TWO types - hard centres (peanut, toffee, biscuit etc) and soft centres (coconut, raisin, turkish delight and various creams).

I think you're wrong, people will still buy them despite not liking all the flavours - can just pass them on to someone else.

The ones I don't like are: coffee, Malteser and toffee. The Malteser
because it doesn't fit in, toffee cos it's like eating a rock and
coffee...is self explanatory.

I like all revels except the coffee one. I wouldn't miss the raisin and it's nowhere near my favourite but I will eat it.

I agree they could expand their centres. I mentioned on a previous post
about having an 'exotic' bag with different centres in. I think there
is a market for it.

Yes maybe.  I never buy them myself as there are two I don't like and I can't see the point of buying something where I'll have to throw some away!

goldencup why don't you save all the ones you don't like, put them in a jar and give them to someone you don't like much for xmas.

I love the coffee ones and hate the toffee ones.  A marzipan flavour is a good shout.

I personally love the coffee ones. They are my favourite in Revels. I like all the coffee flavours in any chocolate (Roses used to have them I think). Its good for me because everyone else hate them

I don't like coffee choc at all but for those of you who do there's not much variety is there?

I like coffee chocolate as well. But you are right lou, there is not
much out there. The KK Cappucino Kubes soon went from the shelfs and
Roses dropped their coffee one too. The Rittersport Cappucino is
nice.

I wish they would do white chocolate M&M's over here, they do white Maltesers afterall.
