Tried this today - described as having a 'tangy' fizz, like popping candy. Not bad actually.

Bought this from Cyber Candy in Brighton yesterday - well they were BOGOF as just about out of date! Not too impressed but probably because of my usual dislike of Aussie chocolate. The berry bit was ok but very artificial tasting. Wouldn't bother again.

Old Products / Plain/White/Milk Chocolate Bar?

A friend has asked me to identify a chocolate bar she remembers from the 70s which was plain chocolate at the bottom, milk chocolate at the top and white chocolate in the middle. It was a thin bar. Definitely not Top Deck. Any ideas please?

At least I assume these are new as there was a special display of them in Sainsbury's. Quite nice but 55p seems a bit much for a tiny bar.

My friend brought me this from Australia (plus Tim Tam Mints and the obligatory Cherry Ripe). Quite nice but as usual spoilt for me by the naff Aussie chocolate.

Just back from Hong Kong (fantastic place) where I tried both of these in the interests of research - both good - preferred the Cappuccino of the two, which is surprising as I don't usually like coffee flavour chocolate. Also tried Milo Nuggets which were ok.

General / Car Journey Torture!

I recently offered to do the driving when a friend and I were visiting Yorkshire and she said she'd bring along nibbles for the journey. When we stopped, she triumphantly produced from her bag:
1) Peanut butter cookies
2) Cinnamon danishes
Now regulars on this board will know that there are probably only two flavours I really don't like and she managed to find both of them! As I hadn't known her long, my natural good manners(!) meant I had to smile sweetly and force them down. Next time I will be more assertive!

General / 100% cocoa content

Somebody at work who knows I like chocolate keeps giving me these drum shaped lumps of 100% stuff from Waitrose. I'm sure some people must love it but I can't even take the smell of it! I'm told it's quite expensive so I can't decide how to tell this person that I don't actually like it. If I say I'm on a diet he might not bring me any at all!

At last, after more than nine years, I have seen snow in my home town! It snowed for about half an hour this morning (proper big snowflakes) and there is a light dusting (rapidly melting) on the grass. I resisted the urge to rush out and try to build a very small snowman.
