Title: Gigantic box of Milka(?) chocolates
Post by: Scarlet_Salome on October 27, 2007, 01:53:41 am
Was in the ever-popular Wednesfield Home Bargains last week when I spotted an intriguing and very gigantic box of chocolates that I'm pretty sure were part of the Milka range, although I couldn't get a good look due to it being crushingly busy.
I can't return yet for a closer examination as at present I'm stranded in Oxford, which unfortunately seems to be a Home Bargains-free zone. Really miss all the lovely random little cheap shops of the Midlands!

I got these for my mother the other week; a very nice selection, but not much good if you don't like nuts. (Fortunately we all do in my family and soon polished them off!)

The full name escapes me - it was Milka Lila something (as in Lila Pause, the bar they used to sell).

Yes, I was sure that the name began with 'L'. I think it pre-dominated the wrapper, because I almost didn't realise it was Milka brand but for the very distinctive mauve-ness.
Are the centres particularly truffly/praliney/generally creamy and sickly or fairly plain (accounting for the nuts of course)?

They are some truffle type centres, some praline and a couple of crunchy/nougat centres. The others are pretty much pure choc.
